who we are

Sarah Shepard Gallery was founded in 2018 by art world professional Sarah Shepard. As a proud part of the San Francisco Bay Area’s lively arts community, we celebrate emerging and established contemporary artists with practices local to Northern California and across the nation. We feature a robust rotating schedule of solo artist and group thematic exhibitions—with subjects ranging from the intersection of art and technology to meditative, abstract, contemporary landscape and fiber based art. Accompanied by a dynamic series of artists in conversation, guest curator talks, and family events, we take a multidisciplinary approach celebrating a range of media, including paintings, drawings, photographs, works on paper, textiles, prints and ceramics.

Sarah Shepard Gallery is located at Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, CA. Accessible by car or ferry, we’re a destination for Marin County and the Bay Area alike.
